It's the start of a new year and new resolutions! Artistic Director Stefany Cambra is stepping out of directing and into her acting shoes for her one woman show, Big Enough: The Musings and Misadventures of a Bumblefuck. In a tale as old as time, Stefany shares her love of food and hatred of all things exercise as she faces a tight deadline towards self acceptance and happiness. In the newest quirky comedy of the season, Cambra will zumba her way to a life changing decision as she wonders if she's missing out on what she is supposed to want- or if she's simply looking for something bigger.

Proper Hijinx turns their focus towards cultural division, race perceptions, and affirmative action with the regional premiere of The Submission by Jeff Talbott, winner of the 2011 Laurents/Hatcher Award. The plot centers around a playwright, Danny, who has finally written a meaningful, visceral play- but submits it for a play festival under the pen name of an African American woman, hoping the play will be better received if the adjudicators are unaware of his true identity as a young, white male. Enter Emilie, a black actress who Danny asks to pose as his alter ego for the festival.

Resolute Theatre Project, Proper Hijinx Productions, and L.I.P. Service are proud to present their co-production of Boy Gets Girl by Rebecca Gilman.

Theresa Bedell is a successful reporter in New York who loves her work and the life she has made for herself. A relationship with a man would complete the picture and so she agrees to go on a blind date with a friend of a friend. Tony is attractive and funny, but Theresa isn't sure, and after a second date she's convinced they have nothing in common and sees no point in continuing the relationship. Tony, though, thinks otherwise. What at first seems like persistence on his part grows into obsession, and Theresa's annoyance with Tony turns to terror as he begins to threaten her and those around her. Ultimately, Theresa must fight to save herself from being erased by Tony's actions—actions which call into question the assumptions at the very heart of romantic pursuit.
